Parenting Support Groups

In these short but informative meetings, we will be allocating time for various parenting topics followed by personalized Q & A. The talks are aimed to cover insightful topics as well as understand how to apply the skills needed to become effective parents while safekeeping your relationships with your children.  We all share basic ultimate goals for our children, so we aim to learn how to pave the way for them to become happy, high-functioning, independent, responsible, productive, and self-aware adults.

Examples of topics we will cover:

• the how to's of effective listening (easier said than done!)
• the importance of modeling assertiveness, and the how's to's of it
• Values and how to go about that one!
• Understanding yourself in the parenting role (this is probably one of the most important topics ever!), especially in overwhelming moments 
• The difference between sibling jealousy and sibling rivalry, and of course, how to handle that without losing it and living with the long-term consequences
• A united front? what? how do we do that without faking the truth... and the psychological effects of not being honest
• Which brings us to honesty, and the importance of being real human beings with our children rather than a person with a job description. Basically, how to do that age-appropriately
• And more!
